[제35회 WHA 패널] World History Education in South Korea: Curriculum, Textbooks, Assessment, and Scholarly Debates

역사교육연구회는 미국 세계사학회(World History Association)가 주최하고 오는 6월 25일(목)~27일(토) 인천 송도에서 개최되는 제35회 WHA 학술대회에 패널로 참여하게 되었습니다.
이에 행사 개요와 일정을 안내드리고자 합니다.

<행사 개요>
1. 공동 주제: Closed Borders and Global Connections ― Being Global after Globalization
2. 패널 주제: World History Education in South Korea ― Curriculum, Textbooks, Assessment, and Scholarly Debates
3. 일시: 2026. 6. 25.(목) 08:30~10:00

[제1발표] Tensions in the Goals of World History Education and the Meaning of World History: A Discourse Analysis of Korean Curriculum Documents (고한석, 서울대)

[제2발표] Being Global in World History Education: Eurocentrism and the Limits of Historical Actors in High School Textbooks (심은경, 서울대)

[제3발표] Assessing History in South Korea’s College Scholastic Ability Test (이미미, 서울대; 이소은, 한국교육과정평가원)

[제4발표] Researchers’ Positionality in World History Education: Debates and Issues in Korea (박용준, 한국교원대)

※ 모든 발표 및 학술대회 전반은 영어로 진행됩니다.
